Drawn ("we", "us") is an independent menswear discovery platform. This policy explains how we handle the personal data you share with us at drawn-in.co.
Drawn is run by Kern MacFarlane in Lisbon, Portugal, who is the data controller: the person responsible for how your personal data is used. You can reach us at hello@drawn-in.co.
We collect your email address when you create a profile or subscribe to our newsletter. If you create a profile, you may also add a display name, gender, style and budget preferences, favourite brands, and, if you choose, a profile photo. When you save a product, save an outfit, or otherwise interact with search results while signed in, we record that activity against your account so we can show it back to you and personalise future results.
If you create a profile, we use your email to manage your account, and the preferences and saved activity you give us to run your account, show you your saved items and outfit history, and personalise your search results (see "Personalising your results" below). If you subscribe to the newsletter, we use your email to send you periodic updates about Drawn. We will not share your email address with third parties beyond the providers listed under "How we store it", or use it for any other purpose without asking you first.
If you save products on Drawn, we use that activity to build a numerical "taste profile" for your account: a mathematical summary generated automatically from the items you've saved, used to personalise the search results and recommendations shown to you. It reflects only your own saved items and interactions on the Site, and is not shared with brands or other third parties.
To help the independent brands on Drawn understand what shoppers are looking for, we record a small amount of activity on the site: which products are viewed, saved, or clicked through to the brand's own website, the size you filter by, which sizes were sold out at the time, the page you came from, whether you were signed in, and your country (worked out from your IP address, which we don't keep).
These records are not linked to your account, name or email. Each one carries only a short scrambled code, made from your IP address, browser type and that day's date using a secret key. The code changes every day, so we can count how many people did something on a given day but can't follow your visits from one day to the next. Nothing is stored on your device for this.
We share, and may charge brands for, this information only as combined totals covering at least 10 people (for example, "40 people viewed this jacket while size L was sold out"). We never share or sell information about an individual. We keep these records for up to 25 months and then delete them automatically.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or "Do Not Track" signal, we don't record this activity at all.
We process your data on the basis of your consent, given when you create a profile or subscribe to the newsletter. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
We record the shopping activity described under "Shopping insights for brands" on the basis of our legitimate interests: helping brands stock and size what shoppers want, which also improves what you find on Drawn. You can object by emailing hello@drawn-in.co, or by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
Your account data (email, profile details, saved items, outfit history, and taste profile) is stored securely in Supabase, hosted in the EU. If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email is also shared with Loops, our email delivery provider, to send newsletter emails.
Search queries and saved-item data are processed by OpenAI, Anthropic, and Voyage AI, the AI providers we use to power natural-language search, image search, and the personalisation described above. We keep a record of search terms, not linked to your account, for up to 90 days to improve search results. Anonymous shopping activity (see "Shopping insights for brands") is kept for up to 25 months. We use Plausible for site analytics, which is cookie-free and does not collect personal data or track you across sites. We use Sentry for error monitoring, to help us find and fix bugs; it is configured not to store your IP address. We apply standard security measures to protect your data, and only share it with the providers named on this page.
Some of our providers are based in the United States, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Voyage AI, Loops, and Vercel, which hosts this site. When your data goes to them, it is protected by the safeguards in each provider's data processing terms, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We keep your account data until you ask us to delete your account. Email hello@drawn-in.co and we'll delete it within 30 days.
If you subscribe to the newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. To have your email address removed from our records entirely, email us.
Search terms are kept for up to 90 days, and anonymous shopping activity for up to 25 months, as described above.
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in when you have an account, with no tracking or advertising cookies. Plausible, our analytics provider, is cookie-free and does not track you across sites.
Under GDPR, and UK GDPR if you're in the UK, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@drawn-in.co and we will respond within 30 days.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to a data protection regulator: the CNPD in Portugal (cnpd.pt), the ICO in the UK (ico.org.uk), or the regulator where you live.
Drawn aggregates publicly available product information from independent menswear brands. Brand names and product details are used for identification and discovery purposes only. Their appearance on Drawn does not imply endorsement, partnership, or any commercial relationship with those brands unless explicitly stated.
